Lataguri is a small town located in the Jalpaiguri district of Indian state of West Bengal. The village is located outside the Gorumara National Park on National Highway No. 31. Permits for entering Gorumara and Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary are given from Lataguri. The village also contains a “Nature Interpretation Center”, which gives information about the flora and fauna of the area. A few roadside restaurants and hotels cater for tourists.
Tourist places in Lataguri

Gorumara National Park-

Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary –
Another popular sightseeing attraction of the destination is the Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary, which is around 20 km from Gorumara. Travellers can find several animals and birds in the sanctuary including royal Bengal tiger, Himalayan langur, peafowl, florican and flinch.
Buxa Fort-
Buxa Fort is located on the Buxa Hill at an elevation of around 2,600 feet and is 30 km from Alipurduar. The fort lies 7 km from the Buxa Road and was regarded as a refuge for the refugees during the unrest in Tibet. It is believed that this fort served as the point of contention between the Cooch Kings and the King of Bhutan.
Rovers Point-
It is a land of unknown birds which is a beautiful spot to stay. The tourists can easily get to this place as it is located near to the Buxa fort. This place has many striking and stunning spots for the tourists to explore.
Jayanti Mahakal-
It is located at the bank of River Jayanti. It is a best place for trekking that shares a natural border with Bhutan which serves to be the tourists attraction. Apart from this it has a cave called Mahakal cave which is quite slender and gloomy but it is also a tourists attraction.
Rupam Valley :
The view of Rupam Valley (12 KM) in Bhutan is magnificient.
