The 13 km trek from Buxaduar to Jayanti is especially popular, passing through the dense forest of the Buxa Tiger Reserve. River and the mountain range – makes it as beauty as like a canvas created by some great artists. There had a steel made railway bridge over the Jayanti river, which was built by the east India company on 1915 for transport dolomite from the near by hills to the other part of India. But now you can see just a ruin of some piller and steel bar, in 1993 it is affected very much by a flood and almost broken down. Jayanti is famous for its rich variety of wild life and exotic scenic beauty.

A stalakite cave popularly known as ‘Jayanti Mahakal’ and ‘Pookri Pahar’ are well known destinations from Jayanti. Jayanti a picturesque spot along the meandering Jayanti River forming a natural border with beautiful Sinchula hills Jayanti is a place to stretch your weary legs as the cool breeze brushes away all the exhaustions. Buxa has a great collection of rare orchids and plants, including medicinal plants. Please note that these places namely Rajabhatkhawa, Jayanti, Buxa, Chilapata, Rashikbill are remote places situated in the middle of forest hence the facilities available are very basic.
