Nightingale Park locally known as Shrubbery Park is at a walk-able distance from Chowrasta or around 2 km from Darjeeling Market. It’s beautifully decorated with flowers and colorful lights surrounded by old pine trees. The park has a big statue of Hindu Lord Shiva and a Hindu Temple as well, best time to visit the park is from 4 pm to 8 pm as variety of traditional dance are performed daily during the tourist seasons. Visitors are charged with affordable entrance fees and little consideration is made for the students if the possess any type of identity cards. When cool air passes through your body with beautiful birds chirping around, completely close to nature gives makes us fell like we are in heaven.

There are shaded seating all around the boundary and there are many other benches that are placed inside the park. The tin shades over the benches have different bright colors like red, yellow, blue, orange etc. And there are garden lamps installed all across the park that have white spherical tops. In the evening, all these along with many multicolored hidden lights are illuminated, and the park becomes a wonderland of lights and trees.

Kurseong is a town in Darjeeling district in the northern part of West Bengal, India. It is the little sister of the Queen of the Hills further up the track. Bhangzang Salamander Lake: It is located 14 km from Kurseong. In the past, it used to be a favorite place for the British and people from the neighboring towns used to hang out here frequently. It is a beautiful green-tinged lake that shelters the rarest and most endangered species of salamanders – a species under threat of extinction.

Eagle Craig: Eagle Craig, this place offers you with mesmerizing views of hills, slopes, mountains and hamlets. You can also see the watch tower and a flower garden in this place.

How to Reach Kurseong: Kurseong is 47 km from Siliguri and is connected to the city by road and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. The nearest airport is at Bagdogra.The nearest major railway station is New Jalpaiguri, which is about 53 km from Kurseong.
